About Us
Chocco has existed since the times of the Inca empire, created during the regime of the Sapa Inca Pachakuteq. The community has remained tightly knit ever since, enduring harsh Spanish colonization, gradual Peruvian independence, a violent wave of terrorism in the 1980s, and recent corruption in recent years.
Despite this, the Chocco community maintains its traditional practices, which include agriculture, spirituality, and celebrations.
Our Vision
Our mission is to improve the quality of life of the community of Chocco by improving its economic stability and promoting its social development.
